Datacenters and uptime

Separate datacenters, so one bad day stays one bad day.

ECS runs client infrastructure across multiple geographically separated datacenters. A storm, outage, or hardware failure in one place does not have to stop your business.

Built for the risks Houston businesses actually face

Hurricanes and flooding

A server closet in the path of a Gulf Coast storm can be out of reach for days. Your systems should not depend on one building staying dry.

Power and grid failures

Houston businesses know what a long outage looks like. Datacenter power is built to ride through them, and a second site covers what one site cannot.

Carrier and hardware failures

A cut fiber line or a failed server should be a ticket, not a shutdown. Separate sites give your workloads somewhere else to go.

How we keep you running

Geographic separation

Client infrastructure runs across multiple datacenters in separate locations, so one regional event does not reach every copy of your data.

Replication between sites

Protected workloads and backups are copied to a second site, so recovery does not rely on anything at the site that failed.

Recovery targets in writing

We agree with you how much data you can afford to lose and how quickly each system must return, then design to those numbers.

Monitored and managed

The same ECS engineers who support your staff watch your infrastructure, so there is no hand-off between a hosting company and your IT team.

Common questions about our datacenters

Why does geographic separation matter for a Houston business?
Hurricanes, flooding, and grid failures affect whole areas at once. Keeping systems and backups at sites that are geographically separated means one regional event does not take every copy of your data with it.
Do you guarantee 100% uptime?
No honest provider can. What we do is remove single points of failure, agree recovery targets in writing, and design each environment to meet them. Multiple separated datacenters are a large part of how we keep clients running.
Where are your datacenters?
We share facility details during scoping, along with how your particular workloads would be placed and protected. Ask us and we will walk you through it.
Do we have to move everything out of our office?
No. Many clients start by replicating backups or moving one critical server. We recommend what is worth moving, and what is fine where it is.
How does this work with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?
Microsoft and Google run those platforms in their own datacenters. Our datacenters host your servers, applications, desktops, and backups, including independent backups of your Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data where that is part of your plan.

How long could your business run without its server?

Tell us what you run today. We will show you where the single points of failure are and what we would do about them.
