Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider

Microsoft licensing, handled by the team that runs your IT.

ECS is a Microsoft CSP reseller, backed by over 100 years of combined IT experience. You get the right licenses, one invoice, and one Houston-area team accountable for all of it.

What we take off your plate

Microsoft licensing changes often and the differences between plans are easy to miss. Our job is to keep yours correct, so you never have to think about it.

The right license for each person

Business Basic, Standard, or Premium, Enterprise E3 or E5, and frontline licenses, matched to what each role actually uses.

Seats that follow your headcount

New hires are licensed when they start. Departed staff are removed so you stop paying for them.

Terms and renewals on our calendar

We track every commitment and renewal date and raise changes before they lock in, not after.

One invoice and one number to call

Licensing, support, and security sit with one accountable team. A license problem and a login problem go to the same place.

Security you already paid for

Plans like Microsoft 365 Business Premium include Intune, Defender for Business, and Conditional Access. We turn on what you own before suggesting anything new.

Copilot and add-ons, when they fit

We check permissions and data readiness first, so an add-on license solves a problem rather than creating one.

Where Microsoft 365 budgets usually leak

These are the patterns we look for first in a license review.

Have ECS review your licenses
  • Licenses still assigned to people who left months ago
  • Full licenses on shared mailboxes that usually do not need one
  • Enterprise plans where Business Premium covers the same needs for teams of up to 300
  • Third-party tools duplicating features already in your Microsoft plan
  • Annual commitments that renewed automatically with more seats than you use

How a license review works

  1. Step 1

    Share what you have

Bring your latest Microsoft invoice to a free 30-minute conversation, or tell us who bills you today.

  2. Step 2

    Get a written review

We show what is unused, what is the wrong fit, and when your current commitments end.

  3. Step 3

    Switch at the right time

We time any transfer around your existing terms. It is a billing change, not a migration: mailboxes, files, and Teams stay where they are.

  4. Step 4

    Stay right-sized

Licensing is reviewed as your team changes and at each business review, so it does not drift again.

Common questions about Microsoft licensing

What does Microsoft CSP mean?
CSP stands for Cloud Solution Provider. It is the Microsoft program that lets approved partners sell and support Microsoft cloud subscriptions. ECS is a CSP reseller, so your licensing and support come from the same team.
Do we have to migrate anything to buy through ECS?
No. Changing who bills your licenses does not move your data. Mailboxes, files, and Teams stay in your existing Microsoft 365 tenant. We plan the timing around any commitments you already have.
Do we still own our Microsoft 365 tenant?
Yes. The tenant, your data, and your administrator accounts remain yours. ECS works with delegated access that you approve, and you can move to another provider if you ever choose to, subject to your subscription terms.
Will it cost more than buying from Microsoft directly?
Clients on a managed plan pay the published price with no markup. We review your current licensing and share pricing after a first conversation, and many businesses find savings simply by removing licenses they do not need.
Should we choose monthly or annual terms?
It depends on how stable your headcount is. Monthly terms offer more flexibility, while annual terms cost less but limit seat reductions until renewal. Microsoft sets these rules and they change, so we walk through the current options before you commit.
Can you supply licensing other than Microsoft?
Yes. We also supply Google Workspace and other business software and security subscriptions, so those licenses can sit on the same invoice with the same team responsible for them.

One team for both platforms

Licensing, security, support, and migrations for either platform, from the same team and on the same plans.
